Unfortunately I have been forced to leave this honest negative review out of principle to try and save any other innocent hungry fellow foodies from being ripped off of their hard earned money the way me and my family was, I placed a large order to the value of £50 with chef Beijing at 10pm on a Saturday night, I was told that the food would take about an hour to be prepared and delivered which was fine.

The delivery driver arrived only ten minutes late and was polite whilst handing me my food, I then proceeded to unpack my order to plate up the much anticipated meal me and my family had all been patiently waiting for, but upon opening the food containers and inspecting our main dishes consisting of

We was all disappointed and shocked to find that the food was cold, I mean it wasn’t even Luke warm, I’ll try and only detail the really disappointing unacceptable highlights in this order review to try and save other potential customers from repeating our poor experience.

Ok so firstly the mushroom and vegetable curries were a cold, oily, soupy watery mess with no base, substance or flavour to them, the mushrooms had not even been cooked properly, I can say without exaggeration or doubt that these were the worst Chinese curries I have ever seen or tasted absolutely disgusting and inedible, a family member literally took a mouthful of his curry and spewed it from his mouth.

Next up was the Mixed Vegetable Chow Mein, (Soft) which were supposed to be a thick, soft noodles in a nice gravy with loads of mixed vegetables but instead what we received were some cold thin extremely dry and stale Singapore noodles? with a little bit of sautéed onions.

But wait it gets better next up was the Stir Fried Mushrooms with Satay Sauce, where do I begin? The dish contained large halved mushroom that were RAW! Uncooked raw mushrooms a thick orange layer of greasy oil sat atop of the dish separated from the peanut sauce which was completely absent from the meal apart from a small blob of sauce which sat alone in the corner of the container like a misbehaved school boy.

The chips again arrived cold, soggy and sweaty. These were not the normal homemade chunky Chinese crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside chips you’d expect, but instead a portion of cheap cold soggy thin french fries.

Next we had the Deep Fried Mushrooms & Onion Rings, the deep fried mushrooms had been rushed and must have been thrown in the fryer and pulled out before the mushrooms had even had proper time to cook through properly, totally inedible and the onion rings arrived like the chips did cold and soggy.

I’ll conclude on the Chinese Green Vegetables with Oyster Sauce which consisted of Pak Choi which I usually love and enjoy. But this dish again arrived cold and tasted like it had been cooked and served in someone’s old salty bathwater causing you to regurgitate the previously described dishes upon tasting.

After trying to serve and eat this meal everyone was upset and frustrated because they had been waiting over a hour for a tasty Chinese but was left starving, £50 out of pocket and feeling sick at what they had just tried to eat.

We attempted to contact and communicate with Chef Beijing via phone very reasonably and politely to detail our experience and disappointment with this appalling unsatisfactory food and service.

Trying humbly to find some form of resolution but the man who answered the phone wasn’t interested at all he was very rude and aggressive with me and just hung up the phone, so i tried once again to call back, and after a few try’s the same person answered the phone again, so I tried to communicate with him and describe the problems with the food and that we hadn’t eaten the food as it was inedible and requested that the delivery driver be sent back to collect this unfit for human consumption meal and refund us our money.

He refused to let us talk to a manager or send back the delivery driver or offer any form of refund, compensation or even offer us an apology for this whole ordeal he again just shouted insults down the phone and hung up, this place should be reported to trading standards and I strongly recommend anyone to spend your money else where to avoid going through what my family just did. Worst food experience of my life. I’m not sure what was worse the food or the customer service, thank you to chef Beijing for ruining everyone’s night.
