Mercy OwensAug 3, 2019The service that I received today was extremely poor. I can’t believe that any restaurant manger would argue with a customer over a £3.50 banana cake and custard. Instead of making the issue right with the customer and potentially receiving hundreds in additional revenue in the future, the manager at Max’s Caribbean chose to dismiss my complaint.
I specifically requested for custard served with my cake to not be put over the cake because I knew that by the time the cake was delivered it would’ve been soggy. I called the restaurant to explain that they did what I had asked them not to do and had delivered a soggy cake that was covered in custard and they did everything to blame me. I even specified in my order but this is one restaurant I will not be making profitable or even recommending to anyone. Customer should come first! The benefits of redelivering a £3.50 cake or refunding outweigh the risks of loss of customer income.
